Shamanic Soul Retrieval & Soul Loss Healing

After a painful or overwhelming experience, it can take time to feel fully connected to yourself again. When a person is overwhelmed - especially in early life or through significant shock and trauma - the essential soul-level self withdraws, fragments, or becomes hidden as a way to survive. At the time, the soul hides out of wisdom, not weakness. This protective intelligence, whilst it saves us in the moment, can cause ongoing, unresolved, or prolonged suffering, limiting us and keeping us stuck in the past.

Within shamanic traditions, this experience may be understood as soul loss. Shamanic soul retrieval offers a spiritual framework for welcoming those distant or protected parts of yourself back into relationship with the person you are now.

Your Soul Retrieval Session

Your session begins with a conversation about how you are feeling and what has brought you to Kristy. From there, she uses shamanic journeying, intuitive practice, and telepathic and mediumship abilities, allowing the images, information, emotions, and spiritual themes that emerge to guide the session.

The process of soul retrieval involves gently reaching out to the parts of the self that have been abandoned through pain, shock, trauma, conditioning, or survival.  Rather than forcing an agenda, Kristy holds a deeply transformational space and safe energetic field, creating the conditions in which the person’s own soul can unfold its movement toward healing and integration. The therapeutic space is a threshold: a place where what has been hidden, fragmented, or forgotten can be encountered, witnessed, held, given a new narrative, welcomed home, and re-integrated.

Soul Retrieval Melbourne Session Details

Shamanic soul retrieval sessions are available in person at Kristy’s Ferntree Gully practice or online through Zoom.

Soul loss healing recognises that after trauma it can feel like a part of you went missing or that an essential part of yourself has been buried or shut away.

Soul loss is akin to the psychological concept of dissociation and to an altered state of consciousness. Shamans work with the deep layers of the psyche and soul that have often been walled off for protection.

The empowering truth is that, through conscious and compassionate healing, we can recover, reclaim, and re-integrate these soul parts with a supporting healing and self-empowering narrative. The experience of a soul retrieval can be profound and life-changing, through what happens afterwards.

Shamanic Perspective

The shamanic view of the soul is that the soul is made up of a plurality of psychic energies, having many aspects, tendencies, and parts belonging to a wider, larger whole.

Healing, therefore, is about restoring the relationship between what has become separated or divided within the self. From this perspective, soul loss can be understood as a disruption in our relationship with an aspect of our own experience, vitality, and being.

Kristy approaches this work as an act of remembering and reconnection. The intention is not to make you into someone new, but to help you meet yourself where you are, with greater presence and compassion. Soul retrieval is an opening, recovery is a relationship, and integration is an ongoing process where each client is invited to develop a new relationship to what is returning.

Soul retrieval offers a way of approaching the fragmented and disconnected aspects of ourselves through spiritual dimensions of healing.
